Case study
Hospital website and provider directory
A 400+ page, multi-domain WordPress multisite for a regional hospital system, with one physician and location directory shared by every site.

- WordPress multisite, custom PHP plugins, ACF, Elementor, Google Maps API
The problem
Two hospitals and four domains needed one web presence. The hard part was the provider data. If each site kept its own copy of every physician and location, the copies would drift, and a patient could find an outdated listing on one site and a current one on another.
What I decided
Put every site on one WordPress multisite network and build the physician and location directories as custom plugins. Each provider and facility is entered once and shared across the network instead of duplicated in separate databases.
The directories include search, filtering, sorting and pagination, and the templates were written to SEO, performance and accessibility standards from the start.
Where it stands
More than 400 pages across two hospitals and four domains run from a single source of provider data, and the site passes Core Web Vitals in real-user data on mobile and desktop. I own the platform and its hosting, and the hospital's team handles day-to-day content.
